Wanda W. Goff, age 75, of 65 Renny’s Mobile Village, Buckhannon, died May 2, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hosptial following an extended illness. She was born July 28, 1932, at Linn, Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Rex Freeman and Dora Radcliff Wiant. She was united in marriage December 10, 1955 to Ray K. Goff who preceded her in death Sept. 1975. Surviving are six brothers Russell of Linn, Eugene of Toronto, Ohio, Rex, Jr. of Providence Forge, VA, Roy Delano of Weston, Clinton “Jack” of Horner, and Gary Lynn of Camden, two sisters Lucille Shoulders of Clarksville, Tenn. and Mary Lawson of Romney. She was preceded in death by one brother Donald Ray Wiant and one sister Maxine McNair. Mrs. Goff taught at the Diana Grade School in Webster County for a few years; was a Ward Secretary at the Webster County Memorial Hospital and Retired from the Division of Highways, Webster County, with 21 years of service. After retirement, she moved to Buckhannon to be near relatives. She took senior aerobics at the fitness center, was a member of the Upshur County Senior Center, and enjoyed spending time there with other seniors, playing scrabble, card games, and using exercise equipment. Private family graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Buckhannon Memorial Park Cemetery.
