Patty Stalnaker

**PLEASE NOTE CHANGES IN THE PLACE OF SERVICES ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2022 Patty Stalnaker, age 87, of Buckhannon went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Serenity Hope Assisted Living Facility in Good Hope, WV. She was born on September 30, 1934, in Upshur County a daughter of the late Benjamin and Oma Cochran Strader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Forrest” Stalnaker, grandchild Adam Scott Landes, one sister Betty June Bailey and son-in-law, Robert "Bob" McGhee. She is survived by three daughters: Saundra Kay Stalnaker Hill of Bridgeport, Melanie Stalnaker McGhee and Partner, Duane Christensen of Buckhannon, and Melinda Curry and husband Ken Curry of Bridgeport. Grandchildren, Jason and wife Hillary, Jeremy and partner, Karin, Bruce, Colleen (Michelle), Zachary and wife, Kristina, Brianna and husband, Brandon, and Chad. Great grandchildren Emma, Jack, Delaney, Theodore "Teddy", Evelyn "Evie", Augustus "Gus", Archer, and Elias. Patty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buckhannon Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 5-8 PM. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Buckhannon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. The family requests that those attending visitation and the graveside service please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
