Morgan Alexandria Davis

July 1, 2005 - March 16, 2022

Morgan Alexandria Davis, age 16, of Elkins and formerly of Volga, went to be with Jesus on March 16, 2022, following a brief, critical illness. She was born on July 1, 2005, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Morgan was preceded in death by her wonderful mother, Judy Lynn Davis, her maternal grandmother, Gladys Rutherford, her uncle, Ronnie Godfrey, her aunt, Heather Davis, her great uncles, Pete Toms and Don “Barney” Wagner, and her cousin Gary Wagner. She is survived by her loving parents, Josh and Julie Davis, her brothers Cody Davis and Johnathan Dean, her sister Naomi Dean, her grandparents Randy and Phyllis Henry, Pete Rutherford, Shirley McCance, Jerry and Pam Davis, her great-grandfather Nelson “Squint” Toms, her aunts and uncles Jake Henry, Mae Wagner, Randy and Bonnie Ours, Kristy and Coree Zink, Alan and Lisa Tenney, Bob and Daisy Godfrey, Steve and Susie Godfrey, Greg and Jackie Godfrey, D.J. and Becki Lambert, Josh and Hannah Cozad, Connie Reese, Lindsey (Corder) McCance, and Quentin (Mary Lou) McCance, Carl Rutherford, Mel and Dave Malcomb, Beth Rutherford, and two special cousins, Lindsay Ours and Iris Tenney, along with many other cousins and extended family members. Morgan was a junior at Elkins High School, where she had just made the varsity softball team. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Elkins. She loved the beach, her dogs Copper, Bella and Honey, and was dearly loved by all her family, friends, church families, classmates, and teammates, and will be forever missed and loved. Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM with a memorial service at noon, on Saturday, March 26,2002 at the Cornerstone Community Church in Buckhannon, with Pastor John Darnall and Pastor Julie Davis officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Otterbein (Elkins) United Methodist Church youth ministry fund, in memory of Morgan Davis.
